Transparent BPO Awarded SOC 2 Audit Certification, Ensures Client Data Security

Laytonsville, MD (May 2, 2018) – Transparent BPO today announced the completion of a SOC 2 Audit, effective April 24, 2018, after undergoing an extensive review and analysis by The Moore Group, a CPA firm specializing in SOC audits. Transparent BPO was awarded an extremely favorable opinion for its compliance with SOC 2 controls.

Transparent BPO’s SOC 2 certification is reviewed annually by independent third-party auditing firms using American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) standards to test network and business operations controls that define minimum levels of security implementations. The audit ensures the organization is prepared and remediated against cybersecurity attacks, natural disasters, power outages, and other threats that would interrupt business activities.

The SOC 2 audit report was introduced in 2011 to replace an older standard, SAS 70. It is intended for use by stakeholders of a service organization who have a thorough understanding of the organization and its internal controls. The audit report can form an essential part of stakeholders supervision of the organization, vendor management program, internal corporate governance, risk management process, and regulatory oversight.
